Why Every Raw Fooder Needs a Juicer |
If you’re eating more raw foods, at some point you’ll need to consider investing in a juicer.
A juicer is not the same as a blender.
To get all the benefits of juicing fruits and vegetables, you need to be able to process every part of the food – seeds, stems, peels and pulp where alot of the nutrients are. A juicer will extract all the nutrients from fruit or vegetable that not even your stomach can adequately do. A blender just can’t do that effectively.
There are many benefits to creating your own juices as part of a raw diet. Juicing makes it easy to consume large amounts of food/nutrients in a convenient way. Imagine drinking a litre of carrot juice and then imagine the equivalent of eating 1kg of raw carrots!
Most juices sold in supermarkets are heat treated during the pasteurization process and cannot be truly counted as raw.
Twin Gear juicers provide more nutritional value by operating at a lower speed, thus introducing less oxygen and heat into the process. Other types of juicer include masticating and centrifugal juicers.
