Quick and easy spirulina recipe delights

Try some of these intriguing recipes to make spirulina a daily part ofyour healthy raw food lifestyle.  This little blue-green fellow will keep you well nourished and energized all day.

Guacomole a la Spirulina

Blendtogether:

  • Juice of a lemon,
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 3 Tbls Spirulina
  • 2 avocados
  • 1 tomato

2 Tbls chili sauce, and onion

Season with saltand pepper to taste. 

This thick dip is great for parties where healthyfood is appreciated!

 

Quick Spirulina Breakfast Recipe

Combine:

  • 1 tablespoon organic spirulina
  • 2 cups of your favorite fruit juice, (orange, pineapple or apple)
  • some fresh fruit such as berries, apple, pear, or banana
  • several drops of lime or vanilla flavoring. 

 

Blend untilsmooth. For a thicker shake, add ice. Makes two servings.  Bestenjoyed fresh.

For variety, try making this smoothie with vegetables instead of fruit Experiment with adding nuts and seeds for a more substantial blend.Try using herbs – parsley, cumin, dill weed, or cayenne for flavoring the veggie shake.

 

Spicy Soup With Spirulina

 Combine in a food processor or blender:
Pinch of cumin
Squirt Liquid Aminos (Bragg’s)
1 avocado
4 Tbls cilantro
½ tsp spirulina
½ cup water
Sea salt to taste
Thin slice jalapeno pepper (without the seeds!)

Wow! This is a nice recipe! WOuld love to try that out this weekend. I am sure my kids would love it.
